About Me

My Experience & Education

I graduated from Goochland High School in 3 years with an advanced diploma before moving on to J. Sargeant Reynolds Community College. There, I achieved an Associate's of Science with a concentration in Science and Mathematics Teacher Preparation, in addition to maintaining a 4.0 GPA, graduating from the JSRCC Honors Program, and being awarded Dean's List and President's Honor Roll. Currently, I am working on a Bachelor's of Arts at the University of Richmond with a major in Classical Civilizations and minors in Archaeology, Anthropology, and History.

For the past three and a half years I have been working as a Front Desk Associate and Administrative Assistant at Well Into Life Massage & Bodywork, taking on many responsibilities and roles since having been there. These roles include Event and Membership Manager, Retail Coordinator, and Social Media Coordinator. I have enjoyed growing with a small business in my community and taking on additional responsibilities to best benefit the company.

My Skillset

Leadership

  • I was the Vice President of the Alpha Iota Beta chapter of the Phi Theta Kappa National Honors Society at Reynolds Community College. As such, I organized, managed, and lead all of the chapter's service, fellowship, and membership events as well as communicated information to members.
  • In the workplace, I am responsible for aiding in the training of onboarding staff.
  • As a former member of the Valley Proteins Fellows Program, I was responsible for mentoring future fellows and serving as an ambassador for the Virginia Community Colleges.

Organization

  • In order to best manage my various past and future leadership positions, I keep my workplace, schedule, and important information organized and tidy.

Problem-Solving

  • When things to go wrong, as they ultimately do in the workplace, I maintain professionalism as I work to come to a resolution fitting for the company/organization and client.

Critical Thinking

  • I work to identify potential problems or ways to streamline processes as often as I can. I am always looking for better ways to work.

Attention to Detail

  • I possess a sharp eye for detail, which I use to ensure codes are correct and client communications are kept up with at Well Into Life. I also demonstrated this attentiveness in all of the volunteer work that I have done to ensure I helped as many people as possible in an organized way.

I work well under pressure, thrive in ever-changing workplace environments, am able to stay organized and attentive, and look to grow in my roles to best suit the company and assist my coworkers.

My Goals

Academic

  • I plan to graduate from the University of Richmond with a Bachelor's of Arts in 2023 with a major in Classical Civilizations and minors in Archaeology, Anthropology, and History.
  • After completing my BA, I plan to continue my education and work on completing a career certificate in Museum Management before continuing on to a graduate program.

Professional

  • I am looking to maintain a relationship with the company for which I am currently employed so I can continue to be a part of a local business' success and growth, though my roles will likely change significantly as I look for a new position that best aligns with my academic and career goals.
  • I would like to have the opportunity to work with a team that has clear communication and is focused on growth as a group or community.
  • I want to work with a company where I can create positive change - a company I believe in.
  • I am looking for a role that will challenge me in new ways and allow me to grow in my position.
  • Currently, I am attempting to align myself with companies, organizations, and educational programs that will assist in my efforts to one day become a Museum Curator.

I want to take on more responsibility, grow in my position, be challenged in new ways, gain valuable experience, and best position myself to one day work in a museum full time as a Museum Curator.
